It is unlikely, for example, that a person living in the Regent Park low-rental housing site in Toronto will even have heard of the York Club, let alone have any estimate of its standing relative to other clubs in the hierarchy of upper class prestige. Most of the class analysis in this book is concerned with class on a national or macro-sociological scale; hence the Warner method and terminology have not been employed.
